Cellofoam Polyshield® Sheathing/Underlayment/T&G
Cellofoam’s rigid foam expanded polystyrene (EPS) POLYSHIELD® Sheathing/Underlayment wraps the entire structure in permanent R-value insulation cutting down on air-infiltration which accounts for about 38% of a typical buildings heat loss and gain. Builders use POLYSHIELD® to cover the entire wall, including the studs, which account for 25% of the wall surface. Even with batts in the stud cavities, over 40% of wall heat loss occurs through the wood framing which has an R-value of 1.2 per 1”.
