Building Products Fabricated EPS

EPS Shapes

Typically used as a lightweight void fill inside of custom shaped signs, monuments, or displays. Custom cut EPS Shapes are made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam using computer controlled hot wire cutting machines to match customer’s drawings and specifications. This product is typically made of premium rigid EPS that meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C578, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal Insulation. For exact fits, the EPS can also be requested to be aged with EIFS standards, meeting or exceeding ASTM E2430, Standard Specification for Expanded Polystyrene Thermal Insulation Boards for Use in Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems. EPS is very lightweight and is composed of closed cells with excellent dimensional stability, compressive strength, and water resistance.

Advantages

Lightweight and Low Cost

Composed of about 98% air, EPS is extremely lightweight and low cost, especially compared to concrete.

Moisture Resistant

Cellofoam EPS is quick drying and does not readily absorb moisture from the air. Its closed-cell structure reduces the absorption and migration of moisture.

Premium Quality

Typically produced to meet or exceed ASTM C578 specs, with excellent dimensional stability & compressive strength, although both non-spec economical and aged to EIFS ASTM E2430 standard options are available. EPS is resistant to mildew, rot, fungus, and bacteria.

Environmentally Friendly

Cellofoam EPS contains no formaldehyde or ozone-depleting CFCs or HCFCs. It is 100% recyclable and may contain recycled material.
