Cellofoam Perma Cool® Insulated Shippers

Cellofoam's Perma Cool Shippers are the ideal temperature controlled packaging product for cold shipping. The fundamental objectives of cold chain packaging materials are to preserve the temperature of your products and protect them from damage during the transportation, handling, and shipping process. Because of this, choosing the right shipping products and materials is crucial to finding the right balance of customer requirements, cost, handling, storage, shipping duration, and more.

As one of the largest EPS foam manufacturers in the United States, Cellofoam's Perma Cool Insulated Shipping Containers help you manage the environment, allowing you to ship your products with the confidence that they will arrive on time, in-temperature, and damage free, thanks to our shock absorbent, damage resistant cold shippers.

From pharmaceuticals to food, compliance with your cold chain shipping requirements can be achieved by using Cellofoam's insulated cold shippers. Our Perma Cool shippers neutralize the extreme environmental conditions associated with distribution that would normally affect your temperature sensitive products and goods.

Perma Cool Gel Packs

In addition to our great line of insulated Perma Cool shippers for cold shipping, we also offer a line of Perma Cool Gel packs. A perfect complement to our Perma Cool insulated shippers, these cold gel packs range in sizes from 6 ounces to 48 ounces.

Cellofoam's Perma Cool Gel packs are dependable, durable, leak-resistant, and reusable. They are specifically developed as non-toxic, food grade gel refrigerants ensuring the safe delivery of your products.

Why Use Gel Packs for Cold Shipping?

Cellofoam's gel packs are used to help maintain the desired product temperature during the shipping and delivery process. All cold gel packs must be brought to the appropriate temperature range in either a freezer or a refrigerator prior to use. Our cold gel packs offer the following benefits:

  • Non-toxic
  • Safe for food contact
  • Reusable
  • Cost-effective
  • Long-lasting
  • Available in a large range of sizes
  • Odorless and colorless
  • Tough, durable, and recyclable
  • Heat sealed seams to ensure puncture resistance and to prevent tears and splitting.

Insulated Box Liners

Protect Your Products with our Economical, Custom Fit, Insulated Box Liners

Cellofoam understands protective packaging and the challenges associated with shipping. Our high-quality, expanded polystyrene (EPS), insulated box liners are an efficient and economical way to thermally control products in boxes and help protect them in transit.  Our insulated box liners are custom, hot-wire cut in six panel sets to meet your individual needs, from fitting your box to adjusting wall thickness or density to meet thermal protection requirements. Helping to streamline your operations, Cellofoam insulated box liners may be provided as either partial or complete packaging solutions with set-up corrugated boxes, liners, and/or Perma Cool® Gel Packs. Our box liners are produced with short lead times, require no tooling costs, are very compact to store, and are ideal for low volume applications.

Cellofoam high-quality EPS insulated box liners are made of premium expanded polystyrene rigid insulation that meets or exceeds ASTM C578, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal Insulation. The EPS is composed of closed cells with excellent compressive and flexural strength that protects your package from shock and thermal damage during shipment. In addition to plain foam, box liners may be ordered with heat laminated polymeric facers on one or both sides for added strength and durability. These options include clear or metalized, reflective polypropylene, the latter which may increase thermal protection.

In addition to box liners, Cellofoam offers a wide variety of other cold chain products including custom designed and molded shippers as well as the extensive Perma Cool® product line of standard size, two-piece, molded EPS shippers.
